finally! i am in a good mood, thanks to good classes and familiar english-major faces and a punk rock new haircut. well, a fix of the old one, anyway.

i’ve got tony and elissa in american lit, rob in american fiction, and kristin in beginning poetry. my american lit professor is one of my advisors, my american fiction professor is my favorite from last semester, and the longhaired poetry guru was wearing the most bitchin’ bowling shoes, like, ever. all of this is very, very good because tomorrow i have eighteenth century and restoration literature with dr. eight-page-syllabus, and modern american drama with dr. here-let-me-show-you-a-picture-of-my-baby. egad.

and clay the haircut guy is just awesome. we talked about how we’d like to get degrees in misunderstood geniushood so that we could be unappreciated in our own time but become posthumous cultural icons. we talked about how julia roberts and sandra bullock are fundamentally okay, but in general make stupid, stupid script choices. also, he gave me wine and free hair products, and i look cool. i could not ask for more from a please-clay-fix-my-hair-which-i-cut-myself experience. rock!

god damn, well i declare, have you seen the like, andrew?
