On the peculiar appeal of Dr. Brown’s Cel-Ray soda. I tried to get my parents and sister to try some of my beloved Cel-Ray over Christmas, but it didn’t go very well. Mostly they were too chicken. (via kft)

I have frequently wondered just what this tastes like. I mean, if they keep making it, it must be good, to some people, some where.
PS that photo of the pastrami sandwich at Katz’s makes me … want to go to Katz’s.
Me! It’s good to me! I’m the some people somewhere. They have it in six-packs at the little grocery store near me. I try not to buy it too often so I won’t get used to it and become soda jaded.
I think they sell it right over here (I’m pointing) at the deli. I’ll try it.
I love Cel-Ray! It’s definitely an acquired taste, though — very few people are into savory sodas, apparently.
