high school debate teams look like children playing dress-up in oversized suits, grownup high heels and runs in their stockings.  they slouch in hallways and cafeterias, neckties askew, laughing yelling joking as they wait for their turn to stand solemn in front of judges and pretend to be politicians.  it is at once impressive, amusing, and sad.
