i was quite the x-files addict for awhile, you know.&nbsp i was renting tapes of old episodes, watching the new ones every sunday, and catching the reruns whenever i could.  in its heyday, the x-files was the perfect blend of humor, drama, horror, and geeky stuff, not to mention the good acting (though some would disagree), great casting, and fascinating story lines.  but.  around the time that the movie came out, i began to lose interest.  the mythology episodes became more and more tiresome, and darin morgan, arguably one of the best writers the x-files ever had, had left the show.  the hype was just too much, i guess, and other than a few sporadic episodes that looked interesting (but usually were not), i stopped watching.

until today when i sat down on the couch, bowl of rainbow sherbet with chocolate syrup in hand, and watched a tape of sunday’s episode.  it was the first episode i’d ever seen with agent doggett, and he’s really pretty good.  i still think that scully’s pregnancy and mulder’s alien-abduction-coming-back-from-the-dead thing are utterly ludicrous, and i don’t understand krycek at all.  but that scene with the undead billy miles in the shower with his skin falling off was so creepy and disgusting and, well, riveting, that i remembered why i used to love the x-files so much.  so now i’m hooked again, which is bad because since i have enough trouble not staring at the internet, i hardly need to be staring at the television, too.  oh, and you should all see this episode and this one, in that order.

i’ve fixed some of the errors in the comment system (well, not errors so much as things i wanted it to do that i didn’t know how to get it to do) with lots of help from ernie and tom.  thanks, guys.
