in july 2004 i spent two weeks in ecuador visiting my sister megan. during those two weeks i took over 600 photos, so you're lucky i boiled it down to 266. anyway, don't hate me for taking a picture out the airplane window, okay? i thought it was pretty.

my flight got into guayaquil at midnight. megan and nine boys from the neighborhood were there to pick me up at the airport. we rode out to megan's neighborhood, el guasmo, in the back of a pickup truck, with everyone yelling questions at me in spanish. it was downright bewildering.
