  1. This is just one more example of the sort of determination required to lead our country. Of the vast amount of experience and ability I will bring to the job. Before entering this election, I hadn’t given much thought to what my favorite movie meant about the ordinary American’s safety and well-being. Had you asked me two years ago, I don’t think I would even have known who Elia Kozan is. My favorite movie personally has always been “How Stella Got Her Groove Back”, but in the interests of this country, I have had to educate myself about other choices too, including Elias Kozean. It takes a long period of service for a leader to be willing to put aside his own values to better serve and appeal to everyone. I don’t believe Senator Obama has reached that point yet.

The American way of life is under attack, and in these troubled times, America needs a seasoned leader who knows what sort of sacrifices are needed to keep us all safe. If a stronger America means watching Elias Kotean movies instead of a classic like “When Stella Got Her Groove Back,” then I will ignore my personal beliefs and watch Viva Zapatos. This election is not about issues. It is about character and about values. It is about improving America. It is about Elias Koteas.

Good night. God bless you all, and God bless America! Let’s all get our groove back!

  2. HAHAHAHA. Yeah. You’re right that presidential candidate favorite movies and iPod selections and such are carefully crafted to stay in line with the image each candidate wants to project. I like to imagine that Barack Obama’s real favorite movie is something Coen brothers, maybe. But seriously, ARMAGEDDON? That’s just a little too on the nose.

  3. also, if this election were seriously about elias koteas i would so be there. i’d bring TMNT (the original), the Prophecy, and the last disc of season 2 of House and head over. i also have some very good popcorn. all you would need to provide is some tasty beverages.
    think about it.

    sincerely,
    a voter
